Accessibility statement

Everyone deserves access.

It's a principle we apply to restrooms, and one we hold ourselves to online.

Our commitment

Tear A Square Over There is committed to making our website and the Over There App usable by everyone, regardless of age, ability, or technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we've done

  • Large, clear controls. Every button in the Over There App is at least 56 pixels tall, with text labels alongside icons.
  • Simple sign-in. No email or password — just a name and a 4-digit PIN, with an option to show the PIN as you type.
  • Readable text. High-contrast colors, generous font sizes, and text that resizes without breaking the layout.
  • Keyboard support. All features can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
  • Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, we turn off animations.
  • Screen readers. Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, and labels. Charts in our reports include text descriptions.

Accessible facilities

Our advocacy extends beyond the screen. Accessible restrooms are a core component of the Workplace Readiness Index, and the Square Deal calls on every employer to ensure at least one fully accessible facility on every floor. Accessible stalls are for the people who need them. Our advocates do not use them for strategic purposes, and we ask that you don't either.

Known limitations

Some older PDF reports may not be fully accessible. If you need any document in an alternative format, contact us and we'll provide one within five business days.

Feedback

If something on our site doesn't work for you, we want to know. Email [email protected] and describe the page and the problem. We'll respond within two business days.
