Volunteer
Become a Floor Surveyor.
Our 412 volunteer surveyors are the backbone of the Workplace Readiness Index. With a clipboard, a keen eye, and a free afternoon, you can help millions of workers know their options.
The role
What surveyors do
Assess
Score facilities on paper quality, partition height, lighting, ventilation, and floor coverage using the WRI v3.2 protocol.
Map
Document locations, occupancy patterns, and peak hours. Most surveys take 15 minutes — or as long as you need.
Report
Submit findings through our secure portal. Your data feeds directly into State of the Stall and our employer certification program.

Surveyor code of conduct
Surveyors assess facilities only — never occupants. Surveys are conducted during business hours, in publicly accessible or employer-authorized spaces, and always with respect for privacy. Knock first.
